A FILM OF REAL TENDERNESS

'Beginners' Dir: Mike Mills

THIS MOVIE IS A REALLY SWEET WATCH!

A story of unusual circumstance knotted with absolute upset & fragility.
The narrative follows a 38 yr old guy who is dealing with the heartbreak of both his parents death, but ah ah wait right there, it makes for a beautiful montage of reflection passing from past to present.
The actual rhythm & cinematography of the picture is a rare treat. Scenes are synced together creatively & tenderly so that we experience moments of tragedy with love, & moments of awkwardness with laughter.
The story is an auto-biographical account of the directors  relationship with his parents & the unusual scenarios that carried out after the death of his mother.

Beginners is really an honor & an awe from Mills to his father. An account of life savored & seen to its fullest at the last possible second.

Something that makes me feel a little closer to the director & his artistic movements is that he was part of the 90's art group in New York that bound together to push productivity & inspiration of which a documentary details.
'Beautiful Losers' is a really inspiring watch too & is pieced together to project creativity.
